Smad2 activator
Smads (or SMADs) comprise a family of structurally similar proteins that are the main signal transducers for receptors of the transforming growth factor beta (TGF-B) superfamily, which are critically important for regulating cell development and growth. The abbreviation refers to the homologies to the Caenorhabditis elegans SMA ("small" worm phenotype) and MAD family ("Mothers Against Decapentaplegic") of genes in Drosophila. Webb28 maj 2024 · STMN2 activates TGFβ/Smad signaling even independent of TGFβ stimulation. • STMN2 facilitates Smad2/3 release from MT network and activation via …

Webb22 apr. 2003 · AGEs activate Smad2/3 in renal and vascular cells at 5 min, peaking over 15–30 min before TGF-β synthesis at 24 h and occurs in TGF-β receptor I and II mutant cells. This is mediated by RAGE and ERK/p38 mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs). In addition, AGEs also activate Smads at 24 h via the classic TGF-β-dependent pathway. Webb20 juli 2007 · Smad2 and Smad3 mediate both activin and TGFβ signaling and share 92% sequence identity. However, there are several salient differences between the two. First …
